Important to any staffing company or HR department is quickly and easily entering potential candidates into their systems.  Not only do they need to enter those candidates, but they also need to organize them in such a way that they are easy to find.  Professional Advantage has incorporated Résumé Parsing capabilities into Microsoft CRM allowing the quick an easy creation of candidates.

The résumé could potentially come from any number of different sources:

  • Via email to your organization and automatically parsed (as below)
  • Someone may have applied and uploaded their résumé to your website
  • An internal staff member may have a resume they want to parse automatically that they received from a candidate

-Our Résumé Parsing engine will take the email content and automatically turn it into a new record in your system. There are also options for updating an existing candidate using duplicate detection.

-The parser will not only create a new candidate, but will also parse out other relevant information and automatically create the corresponding data in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011.

Items that can be parsed from a résumé include:

  • Contact details – Name, Address, Phone, Email, etc.
  • Employment History – Company, Position, Start Date, End Dates, etc.
  • Skills – Matching skill synonyms: (C#, C Sharp, CSharp, Microsoft C#), Years Experience, Last Used, etc.;  You can easily define the list of Skills that you are interested in
  • Employment References
  • Certifications
  • Security Clearance
  • Many more items

The parser can output HR-XML format for other uses so we could import the same type of detail into any of the Microsoft Dynamics ERP products including Résumé Parsing for Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, or Microsoft Dynamics SL.

The following screenshot displays the Education, Employment History, and Skills for a candidate.  This information can be easily viewed in Microsoft CRM after the parsing process.  See our other blog post on Form Customization in Microsoft CRM 2011 to see how easy it is to design your forms to fit your specific needs.
