Automatically Receive Registration Keys from Professional Advantage

Stay current with your Annual Enhancement Plan (AEP) and enjoy seamless registration updates.

If you’re using Collections Management or Company Data Archive (CDA), getting your registration keys just got a whole lot easier. Professional Advantage has introduced a new automated registration service.

Manually Generating Keys

There is a “Get Registration Info” button on your product registration window, allowing users to manually trigger an update if needed. But the best part? If your AEP (also known as your Update & Support or Maintenance Plan) is current and paid before the due date, the system will automatically update your registration keys—no manual steps required.

How the Automatic Registration Works:

  • 10 days before your AEP expires, the system will check with Professional Advantage to confirm your payment status (internet connection required).
  • If the AEP is paid and current, your registration keys will be automatically updated.
  • No action is needed from the user—everything happens in the background.
  • You can still manually check or override the process at any time using the “Get Registration Info” button or by manually generating those keys from our website.

What Happens if My AEP Expires?

If your AEP has lapsed, you’ll receive a notification letting you know. For example:
"Surpassed AEP Expiration Date"
Or, if you try to manually retrieve the registration key:
"Please contact your Dynamics GP partner"
In either case, reach out to your Microsoft Dynamics GP partner to renew your AEP and reactivate your keys.

How to Access the Registration Window

  • Collections Management:
    Go to Tools > Utilities > Sales > Collection Installation and Registration
  • Company Data Archive (CDA):
    Go to Tools > Utilities > System > Company Data Archive Registration

Which Versions Include This Feature?

The automatic registration key service is included in:

  • Collections Management – May 2022 release and later
  • Company Data Archive – May 2023 release and later

All future releases will also support this functionality.

Not Sure What Version You’re On?

You can check your current version in the “About” window:

  • Collections Management:
    Tools > Setup > Sales > Collection About
  • Company Data Archive (CDA):
    Tools > Utilities > System > Company Data Archive About

The version number is located in the lower-right corner of the window.
